CONSERVATION SURVEY AND ARCHITECTURAL WORKS

The conservators Ilaria Perticucci and Costantino Meucci joined the team between the end of November and the beginning of December. They surveyed the whole structure of the tomb to analyse its state of preservation and to study the more appropriate methodologies of restoration and conservation.

 For the second year, Diethelm Eigner joined the team in the tomb of Harwa. He continued the work which he had started last season making drawings and measurements of the second pillared hall, the shrine of Osiris and the niche for the statue of Harwa in the first subterranean level.

He conducted similar work in the deeper levels of the tomb, as far as room YL.A1.
