The ramp to access the tomb was found to the south of the site covered with debris. A partial excavation, carried out in 2000, has brought to light some slabs from the upper rows of the ramp showing that the ramp, after heading toward the tomb of Kheruef (at the top of the photo), turns east (to the left of the picture). In the middle of the ramp a limestone quarry was discovered. A slight inclination of the portico towards the east seems to indicate that the access from the south has been altered later, and it corresponds to a modification of the original plan (where the entrance was originally to the north). |
