The scene with the allegory of death was covered with a thin layer of bat guano.  The delicate relief has been carefully cleaned to reveal the scene, and in some places the color of the figures. A block of  limestone completing the belt of the god Anubis was found in the course of excavating the passage and was replaced  in its original position.
